Weeds Season 6
Showtime comedy series Weeds and Nurse Jackie were released on DVD and Blu-ray on Feb. 22, 2011, in new season sets from Lionsgate.
In Weeds: Season 6, pot-selling soccer mom Nancy Botwin (Emmy- and Golden Globe-winner Mary-Louise Parker of Red) and her family are on the run … again. In an effort to go straight, they adopt new names and get jobs at a hotel. But with both the Mexican drug cartel and the FBI hot on their trail, Nancy realizes there’s only one place she can go — home.
Season six guest stars Alanis Morissette (Dogma), Linda Hamilton (TV’s Chuck) and Richard Dreyfuss (Piranha), as well as regulars Kevin Nealon (Remarkable Power), Justin Kirk (TV’s Modern Family), Hunter Parrish (It’s Complicated) and Alexander Gould (How to Eat Fried Worms).

Emmy-winner Edie Falco (The Sopranos) returns as the titular Jackie, a quick-witted but flawed emergency room nurse juggling patients, doctors and secrets. Season two includes 12 episodes, which also star Eve Best (TV’s Prime Suspect: The Final Act), Peter Facinelli (The Twilight Saga), Paul Schulze (TV’s Law & Order) and Merritt Wever (Michael Clayton).
The special features on the DVD and Blu-ray are:
- creator and actor commentaries
- and two featurettes on the characters Dr. Cooper and Dr. O’Hara.
