The DVD release of the thriller Meskada had Twilight Saga lovers chatting up a storm, as it co-stars Kellan Lutz, who inspires lots of swooning with his role in the vampire series as bloodsucker Emmett Cullen. Anchor Bay Entertainment issued the disc on March 22, 2011, for a list price of $26.98.
The independent film follows small-town detective Noah Cordin (Nick Stahl, Terminator 3) as he struggles to solve the brutal murder of a boy in the peaceful, affluent town of Hilliard. The killers left behind no clues at the crime scene, with the exception of a scrap of paper leading Cordin back to his working-class home town of Caswell. After arriving, Cordin teams up with county detective Leslie Spencer (Rachel Nichols, Star Trek), and they attempt to solve the crime as tensions grow among the economically impoverished townsfolk.
Written and directed by Josh Sternfeld (Winter Solstice), Meskada also features Grace Gummer (TV’s Gigantic), Michael Cerveris (Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant) and Norman Reedus (TV’s The Walking Dead).
Oh, and don’t forget about that guy from Twilight!
