Oscar and Golden Globe Award winner Black Swan, starring Natalie Portman (No Strings Attached), was released on DVD
Nominated for five Academy Awards, including Best Director for Darren Aronofsky (The Wrestler) and Best Picture, the psychological drama won the Best Acress Oscar and Golden Globe for Portman’s performance in the movie. She stars as a ballet dancer who gets her chance to play the lead in Swan Lake but then suspects that everyone around her is sabotaging her, including the newest dancer in her company (Mila Kunis, Date Night).
Black Swan also stars Vincent Cassel (Ocean’s Thirteen) as the ballet group’s seductive choreographer, Barbara Hershey (Beaches) as Portman’s demanding mother and Winona Ryder (The Dilemma) as the former ballet star whose place on stage Portman is taking.
The R-rated film grossed $106.9 million in theaters.
The DVD was priced at $29.98 and the Blu-ray at $39.99. The DVD contains just one special features:
