New Release: Betty Blue Blu-ray

Betty Blue movie scene

Béatrice Dalle is Betty Blue.

Cinema Libre debuted French filmmaker Jean-Jacques Beineix’s 1986 film Betty Blue on Blu-ray on April 26, 2011.

The popular and quite-racy-for-its-day movie is about the impassioned sexually charged love affair between a restrained handyman (Jean-Hugues Anglade) and an uninhibited — and blindingly unpredictable — young woman (Béatrice Dalle).

The Betty Blue DVD carries a suggested retail price of $29.95.

Cinema Libre has released a number of Beineix’s other films on DVD over the past two of years, including Mortal Transfer (2001), Locked-In Syndrome (1997), IP5 (1992), Roselyn and the Lions (1989) and The Moon in the Gutter (1983).
