Image Entertainment released 1979 movie …And Justice for All starring Al Pacino (Carlito’s Way) on Blu-ray on April 5, 2011, marking the debut of the sensationalistic courtroom comedy/drama in the high-definition format.

In the film, Pacino portrays an idealistic Baltimore attorney who’s constantly at odds with the corruption, contradictions and seeming insanity of the legal system, all of which comes to a head when he’s forced to defend a hardline judge who has been accused of rape.

Co-starring Christine Lahti (in her movie debut), Jack Warden (Escape From Zahrain), John Forsythe (TV’s Dynasty), Jeffrey Tambor (TV’s The Larry Sanders Show) and Lee Strasberg (The Godfather: Part II), …And Justice for All was directed by Norman Jewison (A Soldier’s Story).

In 2010, Image released the movie on DVD packed with special features, including a commentary by Jewison, a 12-minute interview with the director, a seven-minute interview with writer Barry Levinson (Poliwood) and 10 minutes of deleted scenes.

The …And Justice For All Blu-ray carries a list price of $17.97.
