Equal parts love story, drama and mystery, All Good Things, starring Ryan Gosling (Blue Valentine), Kirsten Dunst (Spider-Man) and Frank Langella (Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps), arrived on DVD and Blu-ray from Magnolia on March 29, 2011.
Inspired by one of the most notorious missing persons cases in New York history, All Good Things is set against the backdrop of 1980s Manhattan. The film follows Robert Durst (Gosling) — the son of a New York real estate tycoon (Langella) — and his wife, Kathie (Dunst), who mysteriously disappeared in 1982. Durst was suspected but never tried for the murder of his spouse, whose body (alive or dead) has never been found.
Produced and directed by Andrew Jarecki (Capturing the Friedmans), the film uses its murder mystery/investigation structure to tackle such universal subjects as family, obsession, love and loss.
All Good Things received a limited release in theaters in December 2010 and grossed about $578,000.
The Blu-ray and DVD are available for the suggested retail price of $29.98 and $26.98, respectively.
Bonus features on the Blu-ray and DVD include the following:
- behind-the-scenes footage
- deleted scenes
- commentary by director Andrew Jarecki and the real Robert Durst
