Sarah Roemer tries to keep in together in Waking Madison.

Entertainment One released the psychological drama-thriller film Waking Madison, starring Sarah Roemer (The Con Artist) and Elisabeth Shue (Piranha), on DVD July 12, 2011.

In the movie, Madison (Roemer) is a New Orleans phone sex operator who’s doing everything she can to lead a normal life. When a series of events leaves Madison suicidal and desperate, she locks herself away in her apartment for 30 days. Using a video camera to document herself like a visual journal, Madison vows that if she does not have the answer to her questions and feel more at peace with her life, she will kill herself on the 30th day.

The independent film is written and directed by Katherine Brooks (Loving Annabelle) and co-stars Imogen Poots (Solitary Man), Taryn Manning (Love Ranch) and Will Patton (Brooklyn’s Finest).

Waking Madison is described by Entertainment One as “Girl, Interrupted meets Sybil.” So we’re thinking this one will give star Sarah Roemer an opportunity for some serious thesping!

The DVD, which contains interviews with its leading ladies as bonus features, is priced at $24.98.
