Sony Pictures Home Entertainment turned up the tantalization meter with the June 7, 2011, release of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2011: The 3D Experience on Blu-ray 3D.
The 30-minute program takes the usual behind-the-scenes look at the making of the popular magazine’s annual issue, which usually ranks as Sports Illustrated’s most popular issue of the year. It also spotlights the lovely ladies who happily cavort on beaches across the world for the pleasure of photographers, videographers and zillions of ogling fans.
This year’s models Julie Henderson, Alyssa Miller and cover girl Irina Shayk take center stage as they slip into their bikinis to explore the natural beauty of Maui — frequently in slow motion.
The 3D Experience is presented in high definition 3D, which has been optimized for the latest Blu-ray 3D playback devices and eyewear. For fans of the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue who prefer their models in 2D, 2D playback is also included.
The Blu-ray 3D carries a list price of $19.95.
