Horrible Bosses movie scene

Charlie Day (l.), Jason Sudeikis (c.) and Jason Bateman come up with a devilish idea in Horrible Bosses.

Jason Bateman (Paul), Charlie Day (TV’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and Jason Sudeikis (Hall Pass) team up to achieve every employee’s dream of  getting rid of their superiors in the comedy movie Horrible Bosses, directed by Seth Gordon (TV’s Modern Family).

Looking at their situations, the idea doesn’t seem to be unreasonable: Management candidate Nick Hendricks (Bateman) has been slaving away under the tyranny of his supervisor Dave Harken (Kevin Spacey, American Beauty), only to find out there is no promotion in sight. Meanwhile, dental assistant Dale Arbus (Day) has been struggling to resist the overt advances of his sexpot boss, Dr. Julia Harris, D.D.S. (Jennifer Aniston, Love Happens). And accountant Kurt Buckman (Sudeikis) has learned that his company’s depraved new owner, Bobby Pellit (Colin Farrell, The Way Back), is bent on environmental destruction. Trying to save their jobs and their sanity, the trio hatches a plan to off their bosses.

The Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack of Horrible Bosses features the R-rated version shown in theaters, along with the “Totally Inappropriate Edition,” an extended, unrated version of the film. Also included is a standard definition digital copy of the theatrical version.

The theatrical version also will be available on single disc DVD, along with a digital copy.

Horrible Bosses enjoyed a wide release to theaters in July and rang up $116 million at the U.S. box office.

The movie’s Blu-ray/DVD Combo contains the following special features:

  • My Least Favorite Career,” with Colin Farrell, Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day, co-stars Julie Bowen (TV’s Modern Family) and Jamie Foxx (Collateral), and director Seth Gordon recalling jobs and difficult bosses from their past
  • Surviving a Horrible Boss” with Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, and Charlie Day discussing what makes a “Horrible Boss,” how to deal with their unpredictable and outrageous behavior, as well as elaborating on their on-set camaraderie as they play out the fantasies of oppressed workers everywhere
  • Being Mean Is So Much Fun,” which delves into the minds of the Horrible Bosses as Colin Farrell (Pellit), Jennifer Aniston (Dr. Julia), and Kevin Spacey (Harken) reflect on what it was like to get mean, down and dirty
  • additional scenes (also included on the single disc DVD)
  • Making of the Horrible Bosses soundtrack
