Alvin, Simon, Theodore and the Chipettes take to the sea in Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, which grossed a whopping $127 million in theaters.

The family movie, which blends animation and live-action, stars Jason Lee (Almost Famous) as Dave Seville, the caretaker of the Chipmunks and Chipettes. When Dave takes the group on a Carnival Dream cruise, they turn the liner into their own playground and meet up with their old manager, Ian Hawke (David Cross, Megamind), who’s now the cruise pelican mascot. All are having fun until they accidentally fall overboard and find themselves shipwrecked on a remote island.

The voice cast in the film includes Justin Long (Alpha and Omega), Amy Poehler (TV’s Parks and Recreation), Anna Faris (What’s Your Number?) and Christina Applegate (Hall Pass), and the movie was directed by Mike Mitchell, who helmed the all-animation Shrek Forever After.
