The 2012 action-adventure thriller film Act of Valor is a most unique production in that it stars a group of active-duty U.S. Navy SEALs alongside Hollywood actors Roselyn Sanchez (Yellow), Alex Veadov (TV’s Svetlana), Jason Cottle (Cthulhu) and Nester Serrano (TV’s 90210).

A fictionalized account of real life Navy SEAL operation, ACT OF VALOR revolves around an elite team of highly trained Navy SEALs who are sent on a mission to recover a kidnapped CIA operative, unexpectedly resulting in the discovery of an imminent, terrifying global threat.

Produced and directed by former Baja 1000 champion Mike “Mouse” McCoy and former stuntman Scott Waugh, and written by Kurt Johnstad (300), the movie combines large-scale combat sequences with up-to-the-minute battlefield technology.

Audiences apparently went for the reality-Hollywood mash-up that showcased the skills, training and tenacity of the Navy SEALs in action as the R-rated film grossed a strong $70 million at the U.S. box office following its wide release to theaters in February, 2012.
