Paz de la Huerta steams up 30 Beats.

A summer heat wave and a series of equally steamy sexual encounters connect a group of New Yorkers in the 2012 independent comedy romance film 30 Beats.

Ten overheated New Yorkers—including Erika (Jennifer Tilly, Stuart Little 2), Adam (Justin Kirk, TV’s Weeds), Laura (Paz de la Huerta, TV’s Boardwalk Empire), Diego (Jason Day) and Julian (Thomas Sadowski, TV’s The Newsroom)—are drawn into a complex ring of love and desire, each one caught beyond his or her control in a chain reaction of seduction, impulses and self- discovery.

Written and directed by Alexis Lloyd, the R-rated 30 Beats was released simultaneously in theaters and Video-On-Demand in July, 2012 by Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions. Reviewed tepidly by critics, the limited run in theaters didn’t drum up much business at the box office, despite that fact that it offered a healthy dose of sexiness, including a nude scene by the pulchritudinous Paz de la Huerta (for a change).

No bonus features are on the DVD.
