Science-fiction TV show V debuted on DVD and Blu-ray on Nov. 2, 2010, from Warner Home Video.
V: The Complete First Season includes all 13 episodes of the show, which stars Morena Baccarin (TV’s Stargate SG-1), Elizabeth Mitchell (TV’s Lost), Morris Chestnut (The Game Plan) and Scott Wolf (TV’s Party of Five).
A remake of the TV series from the 1980s, V involves a time when an alien race has arrived on Earth to join humans. They say they come in peace, and to prove it, they provide technology that can heal people. But some humans don’t trust the new visitors, forming a rebellion group to investigate the aliens’ true motives.
The show, which aired on ABC but was canceled after its second season, was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Visual Effects for a Series. It was also nominated for a People’s Choice Award for Favorite New TV Drama and won a Visual Effects Society Award.
The three-DVD set ($39.98) and two-disc Blu-ray ($49.99) include these special features:
