Synergy Entertainment released the three-disc collection Groucho Marx TV Classics on DVD on Nov. 23, 2010. Clocking in at approximately 12 hours, the set carries a suggested retail price of $24.95.
Spanning some 20 years of entertainment and wit from the mind of Julius Henry “Groucho” Marx from 1949 through 1969, TV Classics leads off with 16 episodes from the game show You Bet Your Life, which Marx hosted from 1950 to 1961.
Also included are two episodes of The Hollywood Palace – hosted by Marx – ABC-TV’s popular, long-running Saturday night variety show of the mid-to-late 1960s, shot at Hollywood’s historic Palace Theater.
Additionally, the DVD collection contains Marx’s guest star appearances on The Dinah Shore Show radio program and a rare episode of ABC’s long-lost game show Anybody Can Play (1958), starring George Fenneman.
Groucho Marx TV Classics is presented with its original mono soundtrack and with a 4 x 3 aspect ratio.
