Comedy legends Bob Hope (My Favorite Spy) and Fernandel (The Little World of Don Camillo) team up in the 1958 comedy Paris Holiday.

Anita Ekberg and Bob Hope in Paris Holiday

Hope plays Robert Hunter, an actor traveling to Paris to purchase a screenplay, only to find himself mixed up with counterfeits. While Hunter has his eye on diplomat Ann McCall (Martha Hyer, First Men in the Moon), a sexy spy named Zara (Anita Ekberg, Boccaccio ’70) has her eye on the screenplay.

Hope produced the film and wrote original story, the screenwriting duty went to longtime Hope collaborator Edmund Beloin (The Lemon Drop Kid) and Dean Riesner (Dirty Harry). Gerd Oswald (A Kiss Before Dying) directed and the flick featured filmmaker Preston Sturges (The Lady Eve, The Palm Beach Story) in a supporting role.
