The 1957 comedy The Admirable Crichton is J.M. Barrie’s evergreen tale of an impeccably correct English butler (Kenneth More, A Night to Remember) who is suddenly forced to take charge when he and his helpless aristo employers are stranded on a desert island.

Also known as Paradise Lagoon, the film is amusingly directed by Lewis Gilbert (later of Bond film fame) and gorgeously photographed in Technicolor by Wilkie Cooper. Star More is joined by Cecil Parker (Under Capricorn) as the stuffy Lord Loam, Sally Ann Howes as his snooty daughter, and Diane Cilento (Hombre) as the adorably warm-hearted maid, Tweeny.

Special features on this Blu-ray include an isolated music and effects track and an original theatrical trailer.
